Past WBCA High School All-Americans
ATLANTA, Ga. - Purdue women's basketball 2014 signee Justine Hall was named a Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) High School Honorable Mention All-American on Wednesday, and is one of just 30 players nationally to be recognized. Hall is one of five players to commit to Purdue this year and is set to join the Boilermakers this fall.
Hall has led Regis Jesuit High School to an incredible season, sitting 21-2 on the year and ranked seventh in the latest ESPNW 25 Power Rankings. She most recently posted 20 points, six assists and three rebounds in a 106-34 win in the Raiders' regular season finale, and will start the Colorado High School Athletic Association Class 5A Championships on Friday, and according to Neil Devlin of the Denver Post, could finish as the highest, nationally-ranked team of any in-state team in Colorado history.
Hall becomes the 12th Boilermaker to earn high school All-America recognition in the 23 years of the WBCA award, and the first since Sam Ostarello in 2009. Other names on the list include collegiate All-Americans Jannon Roland, Stephanie White, Kelly Komara, Shereka Wright and Katie Gearlds. Hall is an ESPN Hoop Gurlz Top-100 recruit, ranked 74th in the nation, guiding her team to a pair of Colorado state titles over the past three years. She was named 2013 first team all-state by the Denver Post and earned 2013 Colorado 5A State Tournament MVP honors.
Along with Hall, Haley Bodnar, Bree Horrocks and Andreona Keys are all chasing their respective state titles and continue competition this week.
