"Today was just an incredible, outstanding meet," said Purdue head coach Lissa Olson. "The sprinters were phenomenal, the throwers did well and overall, we just had a lot of depth that carried us through on both the men's and women's side."
The biggest individual accomplishment of the day for the Boilermakers was junior Kenneth Baxter's two event wins. In the 200 meter dash, Baxter tallied a lifetime-best, Lambert Fieldhouse record and NCAA automatic qualifying time of 21.07. He also won the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.73.

Junior Jacques Reeves also added to the Purdue success in the sprints, finishing second in the 60-meter dash finals with a time of 6.74.
In the throwing events, both Nedzad Mulabegovic and Scott Hecht finished well for the Old Gold and Black, with Hecht finishing fourth in the weight throw and third in the shot put with a personal record, while Mulabegovic came in second in the shot put.
