Tim House

TitleDeputy Athletics Director / Associate Vice President for Development
Tim House

Tim House has served Purdue Athletics since August 2018, leading the John Purdue Club to record-breaking fundraising and donor engagement success. The Raleigh, North Carolina, native was promoted to Deputy Athletics Director and Associate Vice President for Development in January 2025 and has played a pivotal role in advancing Purdue Athletics through strategic fundraising initiatives and donor-driven innovations.

In addition to his role within Purdue Athletics, House was appointed Chair of the Victories & Heroes Campaign Planning Committee by Purdue University President Mung Chiang, a distinction that underscores his ability to unite donors across the university. The $4 billion campaign, announced in February 2025, will elevate Purdue’s academic and athletic excellence by early 2030, making House one of the few athletics administrators to lead a fundraising effort of this scale in higher education.

House’s impact on Purdue Athletics has been transformative. Under his leadership, the John Purdue Club’s annual fund has grown from $6.75 million in 2018 to a record-setting $13.5 million. He spearheaded multiple major fundraising initiatives, including the More Than A Game campaign ($18 million+ raised) during the COVID-19 pandemic and the Forging Ahead campaign ($18.69 million goal), which enhances recruiting, retention, and student-athlete development across all 18 Boilermaker sport programs. His efforts have secured the three largest cash gifts in Purdue Athletics history, totaling over $50 million, including the department’s largest single cash gift of $20 million.

Beyond financial growth, House has revolutionized donor engagement. He launched the Boilermaker Athletics Representative (B.A.R.) program, a first-of-its-kind initiative that provides personalized service to John Purdue Club members and season ticket holders, fostering stronger relationships and deeper donor engagement. He also helped launch the Lundy League in 2023, recognizing donors who contribute $250,000+ beyond annual membership to sustain Purdue Athletics' long-term success.

House’s leadership extends beyond fundraising. He plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of Purdue Athletics as a member of Executive Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Mike Bobinski’s senior leadership team. He works closely with the Boilermaker Alliance on Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) strategy and serves as the sport administrator for Purdue’s men’s and women’s golf teams.

His leadership and impact have earned national recognition. In 2025, House was named the NAADD University Fundraiser of the Year, one of the highest honors in collegiate athletic development. Despite the accolade, House credits the collective efforts of Purdue’s donors, staff, and leadership, stating, "This honor belongs to them, and I am truly humbled to accept it on their behalf."

Prior to Purdue, House held key fundraising positions at Army West Point, the University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, Belmont University, and Vanderbilt University. His efforts have resulted in substantial financial growth and increased donor engagement across multiple athletic programs.

A graduate of North Carolina State University (B.S. in Sport Management, 2008) and Belmont University (M.S. in Sport Administration, 2010), House is deeply committed to Purdue’s long-term success. He and his wife, Jen, who works for the Tippecanoe County School Corporation, reside in West Lafayette with their three daughters, Emerson, Leah, and Harper.
