Biography
2018-19 / AS A FRESHMAN
• Competed primarily in the breaststroke events and 200 IM
• Posted season-best times in the 100 (55.29) and 200 breast (1:59.64) as well as the 200 IM (1:49.09) at the Big Ten Championships
• In program history, moved into 12th place in the 200 breast and 15th place in the 100 breast
• Registered season bests in the 100 free (45.17) and 100 fly (49.95) at the First Chance meet vs. Indiana
• Scored in the B finals of both breaststroke events as well as the 200 IM to help Purdue win the Hawkeye Invitational
• Accounted for 13 team points at Iowa and also was a C finalist in the 100 fly
• Won his heats of the 100 free and 100 breast, finishing top six overall in both, at the Indiana Intercollegiates
• Also helped his 200 free relay team win its heat at the Indiana Intercollegiates
• Won bronze in the 100-meter free at the Indiana Senior State Championships in July
• Represented Boilermaker Aquatics at the USA Swimming Phillips 66 National Championships in August
HIGH SCHOOL
• Four-year varsity letter-winner for coach Steve Owsley at Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs
• Earned his diploma from TCA College Pathways
• Also played soccer as an underclassman
• Colorado 4A state champion in the 100 back and 200 IM as a senior to garner automatic All-American honors
• Colorado Springs 5A Metro League Swimmer of the Year while helping lead PCHS to the league title
• Three-year all-state team selection, earning a spot on the 5A team as a sophomore and 4A as an upperclassman
• Medaled in the 100 free (2nd) and 100 back (3rd) at the Colorado 4A state meet as a junior
• PCHS Wendy’s High School Heisman winner as a senior
