WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - No. 10 seed Purdue will take on No. 7 seed Wisconsin in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday, May 6, at 4:30 p.m. est.

Coming off of a record-breaking regular season and a series victory over Iowa, the Boilers look to continue to gain momentum heading down the stretch.

Wisconsin took the series against Purdue earlier in the season with a 2-1 decision, with all three contests coming down to three runs or less. The Badgers currently sit at 35 in the RPI rankings, with Purdue not far behind at 47.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
The Badgers are 30-18 on the season and 14-10 in conference, putting them at the seven seen in the tournament.

Wisconsin earned series victories over Penn State, Maryland, Purdue, Michigan, Minnesota, and Rutgers. The only two series losses for the Badgers were to No. 8 UCLA and No. 7 Nebraska.

SERIES HISTORY
Wisconsin and Purdue played earlier this season, with the Badgers taking the series 2-1 in West Lafayette. In the overall history between the two teams, Purdue leads it 37-31.

Wisconsin took the first two games of the series before Purdue came back with a 4-2 win on Sunday to avoid the sweep. In game two, it was a seventh inning grand slam that was the difference between Wisconsin taking the 10-9 victory, and the series.

Purdue improves to the No. 10 seed in the tournament after coming in at 12 the year before. The Boilers made a run during the 2025 tournament, as the host team, becoming the first-ever 12 seed to advance to both the quarterfinals and semifinals of the Big Ten tournament.
