WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Head coach Richard Moodie announced the addition of Jesse Goleman as the program’s Director of Recruitment and Player Development for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

Goleman joins the Boilers after having previously served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the University of Pittsburgh Women’s Soccer team.

We’re excited to welcome Jesse Goleman to our staff from Pitt. In today’s evolving Division I landscape, it was critical that we brought in someone who not only understands recruiting at a high level, but also what it truly takes to compete and develop players in this environment. Jesse’s experience and perspective make him an outstanding fit as our Director of Recruiting and Player Development, and we’re thrilled to add him to our staff immediately.

Goleman also oversaw the goalkeepers at Pitt and was elevated from his previous role of volunteer assistant to assistant coach in July of 2023.

In 2025, Goleman helped lead the Panthers goalkeeper union to a 1.78 GAA with four shutouts and 61 saves on the season. The Panthers finished with six wins and two draws in 2025.

From the summer of August 2022 to July 2025, Goleman also served as the Director of Goalkeeping for Beadling Soccer Club in Pittsburgh. He was responsible for the development of more than 60 goalkeepers in the club, with two called to Youth National Team Camps, eight invited to the GA USYNT ID Center, and five that committed to or are playing at Division I institutions.

As well as his position with the Beadling Soccer Club, Goleman also was the Goalkeeping Director for PA West ODP from May of 2022 to January of 2024. Goleman developed a curriculum for the goalkeepers, assisted with game day preparations and implemented weekly sessions with small groups of keepers.

In the fall of 2024, Pitt finished with a 9-6-3 mark that included five shutouts. Goalkeeper Ellie Breech set the Panthers' all-time wins record with her 23rd victory in goal during a 4-1 win over Clemson.

The Panthers had a record-breaking year in 2023 setting program records for most wins overall (17), ACC wins (6), home wins (9), points (194), goals (64) and assists (68). Goleman and the coaching staff helped the team propel past five top 25 teams including three in the top ten. Pitt also advanced to the ACC Championship semifinals and the NCAA Championship Elite Eight for the first time. In 2023, the Pitt women's soccer staff were awarded the NCAA Atlantic Staff of the Year honors.

In 2022, Pitt qualified for both the ACC Championship and NCAA Championship fields for the first time in program history. Pitt finished the season at No. 12 in the United Soccer Coaches Rankings, with the Panthers earning a top-25 ranking in each of the final seven weeks of the organization's poll. Pitt allowed just 21 goals on the season with its starting keeper posting a 0.88 goals against average and an .809 save percentage.

Goleman helped guide the Panthers to their second-straight 11-win season in 2021, finishing 11-7 with a 4-6 ACC mark. Pitt earned victories in each of its first five games for the second year in a row. Pitt also finished a program-best place in the league standings by tying for ninth and also tied the school record for single-season wins set in 2021 and ACC wins (2015).

Prior to joining Pitt, Goleman worked in the volunteer assistant role for the Northeastern men’s soccer team and over the summer for the USL League Two Champions Des Moines Menace.

Goleman spent three seasons at Centenary University in New Jersey and was part of the 2016 Colonial States Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year after helping Centenary win the conference championship and advance to the NCAA tournament. He worked with 20 all-conference selections and one conference player of the year during his time working with Centenary, Chatham University, Seton Hill University and Carlow University.

Goleman was a three-time all-conference selection at Centenary University and led the Cyclones to their first-ever CSAC championship and NCAA tournament appearance in 2013. He represented the USA Maccabi Team on three different occasions (2012, '13, '15) in Brazil, Israel and Chile. Goleman ended his career at Centenary as the all-time leader in saves, goals against average, save percentage, shutouts and wins.

In the summer of 2019, Goleman started his own company, Goleline, LLC, which specializes in strength and conditioning for goalkeepers. He earned a degree in business administration from Centenary University in 2016 with a minor in communications.
