WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - For the second time in her career, Julia Gossett earns Big Ten Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday.
Gossett earned three of the Boilers five victories this weekend, including a save, pitching 16.2 innings without giving up a run.
In her four appearances, Gossett surrendered just three hits, including 28 strikeouts, producing a measly .055 batting average against her.
In the Boilers 10-0 victory over Southern Illinois, Gossett also earned the shutout victory.
During the final game of the weekend, against Western Carolina, Gossett struck out 12 batters, including striking out the side in back-to-back innings, which was just two off of her career-high 14.
Gossett is the first Purdue pitcher to earn the honor since herself on Apr. 21, 2025.
