WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Freshmen, Bri Fontenot, and Anna Moore, were named to D1 Softball's D100 Freshman Watchlist as announced by the organization on Monday.
The award marks the first of the preseason honors for Purdue, and the first-career awards for Fontenot and Moore at the collegiate level.
Fontenot, a freshman from Kinder, La., showed out in the fall for Purdue, leading the team in the categories of OPS and QAB's, while also earning experience on the mound. The two-way player is primed for success with the Boilers this season.
Moore, an Indiana native, hailing from Indianapolis, also showed out this fall, gaining valuable innings in the middle infield, and coming away with some stellar plays. After winning the state championship in 2025, Moore is a proven winner.
The 2026 season kicks off for the Boilermakers, Feb. 6., when Purdue takes on Cal Baptist on the campus of UNLV.
