WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue head coach Matt Painter has announced that Sinan Huan has signed his scholarship papers and will join the Class of 2026.
Huan committed to the Boilermakers on Tuesday and signed his paperwork on Wednesday night, joining three other commits that have already submitted their paperwork. Huan joins Jacob Webber (G; Kearney, Nebraska), Luke Ertel (G; Mount Vernon, Indiana) and Rivers Knight (F; Charlotte, N.C) in a highly-regarded recruiting class.
With Huan’s signing, Purdue’s class is now ranked No. 2 in the country via 247Sports, while being ranked No. 14 nationally by On3 / Rivals.
Huan is a 7-foot, 225-pound center from Beijing, China, who is prepping at Georgetown Prep in Washington, D.C. He is the third top-50 player to sign with Purdue joining Webber (#33 on On3 / Rivals) and Ertel (#41 on 247Sports). Huan is ranked as high as No. 36 nationally by On3.
It marks the first time Purdue has had three top-50 players in the same class since the Baby Boilers in the Class of 2007.

His 5.0 blocks per game (in just 25.0 minutes per game) was the second-highest average in FIBA U19 World Cup history behind Victor Wembanyama (2021) and China’s Qi Xhou (2013). Second on the list in the 2025 championships were teammate Daniel Jacobsen.

- Averaged 11.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game across eight games his 2024-25 junior season at Georgetown Prep.
- Was top 50 in the nation in blocks per game in his freshman and sophomore seasons at Windemere Prep in Florida.
- Competed with Team Durant on the Nike 17U EYBL last year.
- Recorded five blocks to go with 12 points and five rebounds in a game for Team Durant vs PSA Cardinals.
