WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -
Purdue head coach Barry Odom held his weekly press conference on Monday ahead of Purdue's Big Ten opener on Saturday, Sept. 13 vs. USC.

Coming off back-to-back wins to start the season, offensive coordinator Josh Henson and defensive coordinator Mike Scherer also took the podium for media availability.

George Burhenn and CJ Nunnally IV took Monday's post-practice player availability. Nunnally IV is coming off a two-sack performance vs. Southern Illinois, both on back-to-back plays, while Burhenn led the offense with three receptions for 48 yards.

Saturday's opening game of Big Ten play at home against USC is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on CBS.

We trust Mockobee. We trust him with the ball in his hands and he continues to prove why he has earned that trust.

- Head Coach Barry Odom on Big Ten Rushing Attempts Leader Devin Mockobee

I was pleased with the push we got. I think we could still be better and the offensive line would tell you the same. Those are all technical details where each week early in the season you have to keep taking steps.

- Offensive Coordinator John Henson on the Offensive Line Play

We have to communicate, get lined up and play fast. They’re a talented football team. But we have to go in and be ready to play.
