WEST LAFAYETTE — Your new favorite podcast is coming this fall, Purdue fans. For Pete's Sake, hosted by Rob Blackman and Joey Mulinaro, will see the duo welcome Boilermaker coaches, student-athletes and other special guests to their studio inside Ross-Ade Stadium to talk all things Purdue Sports.
Familiar to all Boilers as the voice of Purdue Men's Basketball, Rob Blackman has been the play-by-play announcer on men's hoops radio broadcasts for the past six seasons. In his 22nd year lending his voice to Purdue Athletics, Blackman adds the title of podcaster to his impressive list of accomplishments.
“I am pumped to be a part of the For Pete’s Sake podcast and super excited about the content it will provide for our diehard Boilermaker fans," said Blackman. "I’ve admired from afar the multimedia talents of Joey Mulinaro for some time now and feel fortunate that he is serving as a co-host. Boilers everywhere… get ready to have some fun!”
Equally familiar in the world of sports, Indianapolis-based comedian, actor and content creator Joey Mulinaro will bring his insights and passion for Purdue to the For Pete's Sake podcast. Mulinaro has appeared on ViceTV, NFL Network and ESPN in recent years, and regularly tours his comedic act around the country.
“Purdue will always hold a special place in my heart as it’s where my wife and I got engaged - just outside Ross-Ade Stadium," said Mulinaro. "I am honored and thrilled to join the Purdue community officially along with Rob, and I can’t wait to bring you insights for the ride of what will be an exciting year in Boilermaker Athletics. Boiler Up!”
As Purdue Athletics closes its chapter on traditional head coach radio shows, we are excited to launch For Pete's Sake as an all-encompassing production fit for the new era. For Pete's Sake will now serve as the first stop to hear from Boilermaker head coaches and student-athletes throughout their seasons.
For Pete's Sake will be available on the new Purdue Sports app, PurdueSports.com, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube.
