EUGENE, Ore. – Purdue Track & Field's Andreas Hantson earned Honorable Mention All-American in the decathlon after he finished 17th at the NCAA Championships.

• Hantson earned 7,518 points to finish 17th in the first NCAA Championships appearance of his career.
• The highest event finish of Hantson's final day of competition was a sixth-place finish in the 1500m (4:28.58).
• He threw a personal best 41.62m (136-06) in the discus and 53.95m (177-00) in the javelin to finish seventh in both events.
• Hantson finished 18th in the pole vault (4.21m / 13-09.75) and 19th in the 110mH (15.84).
• He became the third Boilermaker to earn All-American status in the heptathlon. Isaiah Martin was a three-time Second Team All-American (2019-22) and Jon Pergande was a one-time All-American (1995). All-American status split into first, second and honorable mention groupings in 2011.
