WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The Purdue men's basketball team opened its summer workouts on Monday with a two-hour session at Cardinal Court, capped off by media interviews.

NCAA regulations allow teams to practice a total of four hours during the week during the summer months.

Purdue posted a 24-12 record a year and returns four starters from last year's team, as well as several key reserves, new transfers and highly-regarded freshmen. Purdue is ranked in the top three of nearly every "way-too-early" top-25 poll.
