WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Outdoor Track & Field will conclude the 2025 regular season at the Jim Green Invitational in Lexington May 2-3.
Men's Notes
• Cameron Miller ran his first 200m of the outdoor season last weekend and turned in the No. 6 time in the NCAA (20.29). He vaulted Purdue up the USTFCCCA Event Squad rankings in the 200m from No. 20 to No. 5.
• Joel Gomez is lined up for his third 1500m of the season after he opened the season with the No. 3 time in program history (3:45.76). He aims to break the program record (3:45.76) set by Ian Hunter in 2021.
• Antoine Spencer ranks fifth in the 200m with a wind-legal 20.61 in early April. Connor Czajkowski is 10th with a wind-legal 20.81. Both are scheduled for the 200m on Friday.
• Brett Otterbacher ran a personal-best 46.79 in his last 400m in Florida. The time falls just outside of Purdue's top 10 rankings with the standard being 46.77.
• Collin Kao has cleared at least 5.18m (17-00.00) in the pole vault back-to-back meets and ranks 12th in the Big Ten with a season-best 5.20m (17-00.75).
Women's Notes
• Payne Turney is set for her second 1500m of the season after she ran 4:21.66 to enter Purdue's program rankings at No. 4. Turney has run four races this season in the 800m, 1500m, 5000m and 10,000m and has run a personal best in all of them. Her performances include a program record in the 5000m (15:57.78) and No. 3 in program history in the 10,000m (33:57.75).
• Jalen Elrod and Angeline Amefia will both participate in their second heptathlon competitions of the season. Elrod ranks 11th in Division I (5,544 points) and Amefia ranks 18th (5,449 points). The top 24 athletes will qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
• Zoe Sullivan is coming off a personal-best 13.19 in the 100m hurdles that improved her to No. 28 in the country. The time is currently seventh in the Big Ten.
• Britannie Johnson is coming off victories in both the shot put and discus at the Fighting Illini Twilight. Her personal best 53.05m (174-00) in the discus improved her program ranking to No. 5.
• Blessing Ogundiran entered Purdue's 100m rankings at No. 6 her last time out with an 11.44. It was her fastest wind-legal time and her best all-conditions time this season is 11.39.
