Purdue Outdoor Track & Field will have a full week of split-squad action when distance heads to the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. (April 16-18) and jumps, sprints and throws heat to the Tom Jones Memorial in Gainesville, Fla. (April 18-19).

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Outdoor Track & Field will have a full week of split-squad action when distance heads to the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. (April 16-18) and jumps, sprints and throws heat to the Tom Jones Memorial in Gainesville, Fla. (April 18-19).
 
Men's Notes (Bryan Clay Invitational)
Douglas Buckeridge has entered the program rankings at No. 3 in the 5000m (13:56.33) and No. 5 in the 1500m (3:45.88) in his only two races of the outdoor season. He will start the weekend with his first 10,000m of the outdoor season.
Caleb Williams, who is No. 5 in program history in the 3000m steeplechase (8:46.61) and Kiefer Bell, who is No. 6 in the event (8:51.49), will run the steeplechase for the second time this season.
Joel Gomez returns to the track after he started his season with the No. 3 1500m time in program history (3:45.76). He fell just 0.15 seconds shy of the program record set by Ian Hunter in 2021.
 
Women's Notes (Bryan Clay Invitational)
Payne Turney is fresh off setting a new program record in the 5000m (15:57.78). She shattered the previous record by 20.05 seconds and her time ranks fifth in the big Ten. She opened her outdoor season with the No. 4 1500m time in program history (4:21.66). Turney prepares to run the first 10,000m of her career on Wednesday.
Emma Squires will run her second 3000m steeplechase of the season, an event she ranks No. 7 in program history (10:25.81).
Caroline Jordan is set for her first 10,000m after she entered the season No. 7 in program history (34:56.43).
 
Men's Notes (Tom Jones Memorial)
Antoine Spencer ran a wind-legal 20.61 in his first outdoor 200m as a Boilermaker to enter the program rankings at No. 6. The time is No. 4 in the Big Ten and No. 25 in the NCAA this season. His wind-aided 10.13 in the 100m in the season opener ranks No. 14 in the NCAA.
Collin Kao took third in the pole vault (5.15m / 16-10.75) at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville two weeks ago. It was the best clearance of his outdoor career.
• The men's 4x100m relay team of Jasiah Rogers, Nolan Macklin, Connor Czajkowski and Spencer rank fourth in the Big Ten (39.52) and fell just 0.02 seconds from entering the program records.
Jahn Riley (46.79) and Brett Otterbacher (46.85) rank No. 11 and No. 13 in the Big Ten 400m. Riley's time was a personal best by 0.37 seconds and the fastest by a Boilermaker since Brian Faust in 2021.
Cameron Miller eyes his 2025 outdoor season debut after he finished the indoor season third in the 200m at nationals and took home the Big Ten title in both the 200m and 4x400m relay.
 
Women's Notes (Tom Jones Memorial)
Britannia Johnson ranks No. 3 in program history and No. 4 in the Big Ten in the discus (54.31m / 178-02). Her throw won the Discus Throw Collegiate at the Pepsi Florida Relays on her final attempt.
Jalen Elrod is coming off an NCAA No. 8 performance in the heptathlon (5,544 points). She leads the Big Ten and entered the program rankings at No. 5.
Zoe Sullivan moved up to No. 4 in program history in the 100m hurdles (13.31) and sits No. 7 in the Big Ten. The performance came in her first race of the outdoor season after making nationals indoors.
Blessing Ogundiran entered the 100m program rankings at No. 9 (11.59). Both her and Nia Wilson at No. 6 (11.53) rank in the program's top 10.
