Purdue Outdoor Track & Field's season is set to begin March 21-22 at the USF Alumni Invitational hosted by South Florida.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Outdoor Track & Field's season is set to begin March 21-22 at the USF Alumni Invitational hosted by South Florida.
 
The Boilers are coming off an indoor season that featured three First Team All-American honors from Praise Aniamaka (triple jump), Jalen Elrod (pentathlon) and Cameron Miller (200m). Zoe Sullivan (60m hurdles) and the men's 4x400m relay team of Miller, Connor Czajkowski, Brett Otterbacher and Antoine Spencer earned Second Team All-American.
 
Men's Notes
• Miller is the reigning Big Ten Champion in the 200m and holds the school record (20.25). He placed eighth (2023) and 12th (2024) at NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 200m. He was also part of the school record 4x400m relay team that ran 3:03.72 at last season's NCAA East First Round. Miller was named to the Big Ten Outdoor Watch List.
Nathan Walker finished sixth at last season's Big Ten Outdoor Championships in the 5000m (14:16.85). He ranks eighth in program history in the 1500m (3:46.82) and 10th in the 5000m (14:06.69).
• The decathlon features two top 10 performers in program history, Andreas Hantson in fourth with 7,383 points and Logan Sandlin sixth with 6,854 points). Hantson was the Big Ten Outdoor silver medalist and Sandlin scored a point with his eighth-place finish.
• The men's 4x400m team that set the school record in 3:03.72 also featured returners Czajkowski, Nickens Lemba and Otterbacher.
• Spencer is set for his first outdoor season as a Boilermaker after he was part of the indoor 4x400m team that set a school record. He finished sixth in the CAA Outdoor Championships in the 200m (21.15) last season at Hampton. He was also an NCAA East First Round qualifier in the 200m and 400m.
 
Women's Notes
• Elrod is coming off an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships and silver medal at the Big Ten Indoor Championships in the pentathlon. She finished fifth at last season's Big Ten Outdoor Championships in the heptathlon. Elrod was named to the Big Ten Outdoor Watch List.
• Sullivan is fifth in program history with her 13.37 in the 100m hurdles. She ran her personal best time at last season's Big Tens to finish fourth.
Alexia Smith ranks fifth in school history in the 400m (52.70). She took sixth at last season's Big Ten Outdoor Championships in the 400m and was sixth at this season's indoor championships.
• The women's distance group has a quartet of athletes in the Purdue top 10 of an event. Caroline Jordan is seventh in the 10,000m (34:56.43), Emma Squires is seventh in the 3000m steeplechase (10:25.81), Payne Turney is eighth in the 1500m (4:23.60) and Jaelyn Burgos is ninth in the 3000m steeplechase (10:29.86).
