WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Athletics announced today that the Forging Ahead campaign will conclude on Purdue Day of Giving, April 30, offering Boilermaker supporters a final opportunity to earn double priority points and make a lasting impact on Purdue student-athletes.
Since its launch in 2023, the $18.69 million Forging Ahead campaign has demonstrated remarkable flexibility, allowing Purdue Athletics to address emerging needs and remain ahead of the pack in the Big Ten. The campaign has focused on enhancing recruiting, retention, and development across all 18 Boilermaker sport programs through data-driven strategies, global engagement opportunities, and targeted facility enhancements. It has directly supported student-athlete development, providing critical resources such as the new student-athlete dining court, advanced training facilities, and impactful community initiatives like Boilermakers Beyond Borders.
"The Forging Ahead campaign has been nothing short of transformative for Purdue Athletics," said Tim House, deputy athletics director and associate vice president for development. "Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we've been able to provide resources that empower our student-athletes to excel not only on the field but in the classroom and beyond. The impact of this campaign will be felt for years to come, as we continue building a foundation where Boilermakers can thrive in every aspect of their lives. As we approach the final stretch of this campaign on Purdue Day of Giving, we invite all Boilermaker supporters to join us in making a lasting difference for our student-athletes and ensuring that Purdue Athletics remains a leader in collegiate sports."
With the campaign's final day aligning with Purdue Day of Giving, supporters have a unique chance to maximize their contributions by earning double priority points, which will play a key role in the 2027 Mackey Arena reseat. The reseat process, scheduled every five years, offers current season ticket holders an opportunity to improve their seating and provides a clear path for new John Purdue Club members to understand how to obtain better seats over time. During the 2024-25 season, approximately 1,100 priority points were needed to secure new season tickets, while lower arena seats required around 2,400 priority points. The 2027 reseat will likely require even more points, making this a crucial opportunity to increase your standing.
For the first time, donors can also earn double priority points on Purdue Day of Giving by contributing to the Boilermaker Alliance, which supports Purdue's Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) efforts. NIL opportunities are a critical factor in helping Purdue retain top talent and provide student-athletes with the resources they need to thrive, especially in the era of the transfer portal.
