Purdue Heads to Indy for Big Ten Indoor Championships

Purdue Indoor Track & Field is set for the 2025 Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships Feb. 28- March 1 in Indianapolis, Ind. Friday will begin at 10:10 a.m. ET and Saturday at 10:20 a.m. ET with both days streaming on B1G+.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Indoor Track & Field is set for the 2025 Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships Feb. 28- March 1 in Indianapolis, Ind. Friday will begin at 10:10 a.m. ET and Saturday at 10:20 a.m. ET with both days streaming on B1G+.
 
The Boilermakers enter Big Tens with five men's individual and two women's individuals ranked in the conference top eight. The men's 4x400m relay team enters the postseason fourth in the conference, while the women's team is sixth.
 
Men's Notes
Cameron Miller is No. 5 in both the world and NCAA heading into the postseason with his 20.42 in the 200m. He is just 0.01 seconds behind Big Ten leader Johnnie Blockburger from USC. Both Miller and Blockburger are at least 0.18 seconds ahead of third in the conference.
Praise Aniamaka sits second in the Big Ten in the triple jump (16.14m / 52-11.50) that he set in his only regular season meet of the season.
Antoine Spencer is coming off a 20.68 in the 200m that moved him to fifth in the Big Ten and 13th in the NCAA. He is one of five Big Ten runners to go sub-20.80 this season.
Andreas Hantson enters Big Tens fifth in the conference with 5,531 points in the heptathlon. He is one of only eight athletes in the conference with over 5,300 points this season.
Jasiah Rogers tied Raheem Mostert for second in program history in the 60m (6.63) in his last appearance. The personal best performance moved him to eighth in the Big Ten.
• Spencer, Jahn Riley, Miller and Connor Czajkowski make up the fourth-ranked 4x400m relay team in the conference (3:07.14). Brett Otterbacher, a 2024 outdoor All-America Honorable Mentions in the 4x400m relay, is also listed as a possible option this weekend.
• Aniamaka, Collin Kao, Miller, Otterbacher, Rogers and the 4x400m relay team of Czajkowski, Nickens Lemba, Nolan Macklin and Riley all scored points at least year's Big Tens.
 
Women's Notes
Zoe Sullivan holds the No. 4 60m hurdles time (8.08) in the Big Ten and is 12th in the nation. The top eight in the Big Ten sit at 8.18 or below – a time Sullivan has achieved five times this season.
Jalen Elrod's last appearance in the pentathlon (4,218) set a program record and placed her fourth in the Big Ten. Her point total is ninth in the NCAA – a spot that would qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Bryanna Craig was the Big Ten silver medalist in last year's championships in the pentathlon. She is currently 13th in the Big Ten and has only competed in one pentathlon this season.
• The 4x400m relay team of Alexia Smith, Alyssa Tate, Mirai Bernard and Gia Clay ranks sixth in the Big Ten (3:36.14).
Payne Turney paces the distance group with a 13th-ranked 16:16.95 in the 5000m. The time placed her third in program history.
• Craig, Elrod and Sullivan all scored points for Purdue at last year's Big Tens.
