WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University's Tim House, Deputy Athletics Director and Associate Vice President for Development, has been recognized as the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) 2025 University Fundraiser of the Year. This prestigious award highlights House's exceptional leadership and transformative impact on Purdue Athletics' fundraising efforts.
Since joining Purdue in 2018, House has spearheaded numerous successful initiatives, including the More Than A Game campaign, a critical effort during the COVID-19 pandemic that ensured Purdue Athletics could continue operations. This campaign surpassed its initial goal, raising over $18 million to keep the doors open and sustain student-athlete support during one of the most challenging periods in collegiate athletics history.
House also led the Forging Ahead campaign, an $18.69 million initiative focused on enhancing recruiting, retention, and student-athlete development through data-driven strategies and global engagement programs.
He also established the Boilermaker Athletics Representative (B.A.R.) program, which provides personalized service to John Purdue Club members and season ticket holders, strengthening relationships and engagement with Purdue Athletics. Under his guidance, the John Purdue Club achieved record-breaking milestones, such as securing the largest cash gift in Purdue Athletics history—a $20 million contribution—and raising $81 million in a single fiscal year.
In addition to his fundraising accomplishments, House has been appointed by Purdue University President Mung Chiang to chair the Victories & Heroes Campaign Planning Committee, a university-wide initiative aimed at advancing Purdue's academic and athletic excellence. This ambitious $4 billion campaign, announced in February 2025, aims to further elevate Purdue University's academic and athletic excellence by early 2030. Having an athletics administrator lead a campaign of this scale is an uncommon distinction in higher education, underscoring Tim's ability to unite donors across the university.
"Tim's strategic vision and relentless pursuit of excellence have been instrumental in propelling Purdue Athletics to unprecedented heights," said Mike Bobinski, Purdue's Executive Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. "His collaborative approach and dedication to fostering meaningful relationships with donors have enhanced our programs and established a strong foundation for future success. This well-deserved recognition is not only a reflection of Tim's impact but also a testament to our strong donor community and the upward trajectory of Purdue Athletics in the ever-evolving collegiate landscape."
Despite the individual accolade, House emphasizes the collective effort behind Purdue's achievements.
"This honor reflects the dedication and hard work of our entire team, the staffs at Purdue for Life Foundation, Purdue Athletics, and the John Purdue Club, as well as our passionate donors and university leadership," House stated. "My family and I feel truly blessed that God led us to Purdue, a place that has enriched our lives in countless ways. The Boilermaker community is extremely passionate, ethical, hard-working, and generous. This honor belongs to them, and I am truly humbled to accept it on their behalf. I look forward to working together to build upon this success and further Purdue's mission."
The NAADD University Fundraiser of the Year award is presented annually to a development professional who has demonstrated exemplary leadership and innovation in collegiate athletics fundraising. House will be formally recognized at the NAADD Convention, held in conjunction with the 2025 NACDA Convention in June.
