The Purdue men are headed back to Minneapolis for the final week of February as the Gophers host the men's Big Ten Championships for the first time since 2018. This year marks the 11th time this century the Purdue men will have competed in the pool hosting Big Tens prior to the championship meet. Coincidentally, the Purdue women have not been to Minneapolis since the Gophers' hosted Big Tens during the abbreviated 2020-21 season.

Minnesota last hosted the Big Ten Triple Duals in January 2022, but the Purdue women opted to stay home and host Illinois for a Senior Day meet instead of traveling to Twin Cities along with the men. Northwestern would be up next to host in 2026 as part of the three-year rotation.

With the Iowa women part of the meet the last two years, it became a Big Ten Quad again for the first time since 2013. Wisconsin hosted the meet that year and it was the last time it featured Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue and UW on the women's side. That four-team field had been a constant from 1997 to 2013. Northwestern joined the field for the 2014-15 school year, replacing Wisconsin.

A year ago when the Boilermakers hosted, the women took two of three in the team scoring (won vs. Iowa and Northwestern, lost vs. Minnesota) and the men split vs. the Wildcats (won) and Gophers (lost). The Purdue women are 13-3 in dual meets since the start of the 2023-24 campaign, including 5-1 this season.

On the opening night of the Big Ten Triple Duals last season, Maggie Love set her team record in the 200 individual medley and Pat Broderick eclipsed the men's freshman record in the 1000 freestyle.
