The Purdue women's tennis team is set to host two matches this weekend, battling Ole Miss on Friday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. and Butler on Saturday, Feb. 10 at noon.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women's tennis team is set to host two matches this weekend, battling Ole Miss on Friday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. and Butler on Saturday, Feb. 10 at noon.
 
The Boilermakers are returning to Schwartz with two road wins from the past two weekends, defeating both Utah and Tulsa. No. 117 Carmen Gallardo Guevara and Kennedy Gibbs remain undefeated with 6-0 in No. 2 and No. 3 singles play, respectively. In the last two matches, Gibbs has clenched the final singles point to give Purdue its victory. The Boilermakers are now 5-1 this season, remaining undefeated at home.
 
Ole Miss has gone 2-1 so far this campaign, defeating Tulsa and Belmont and falling to Memphis. Senior Briana Crowley is the only Rebel to stay undefeated in singles play. The Rebels went 11-13 last season, going 3-10 in conference play.
 
Butler has earned a 5-2 record, most recently beating Arkansas State 4-2. When facing Big Ten opponents this season, the Bulldogs have yet to score a point, getting swept by Indiana and Northwestern. Last campaign, Butler went 11-12. The Boilermakers defeated the Bulldogs 4-1 last year.
