The Boilermakers dropped an 82-52 decision to No. 16, their fourth game of the year against an AP Top-25 team. Lana McCarthy led the way in scoring and rebounding with 12 points and seven rebounds. McKenna Layden connected on two of Purdue's 3-pointers on the night.

• The seven active newcomers have powered the Boilermakers' production this year with 75% of the points, 89% of rebounds, 63% of assists. All six of Purdue's double-doubles have been recorded by a player in their first year on the court at Purdue.
• After missing the opening nine games of the year, freshman Jordyn Poole was on the active roster for the first time against Kentucky. The top-60 signee is set to make her Purdue debut.
• The Boilermakers have held four teams to nine or fewer points in the first quarter this season, including the three games.
• Lana McCarthy is one of five freshmen to record two double-doubles against Division I opposition this year and is one of two from the Big Ten alongside Kiyomi McMiller from Rutgers.
• McCarthy is one of five freshmen nationally with over 7.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 50% or better.
• While hitting 13 3-pointers on the year, second most on the team, Sophie Swanson has eclipsed her assist total from last season (11) with 21 helpers, good for third on the team.
• Rashunda Jones tallied 17 points off the bench against Maryland to lead the Boilermakers. The sophomore has reached double figures twice this season off the bench.
• Three Boilermakers have connected on 12 or more 3-pointers with Destini Lombard leading the way with 15, while Sophie Swanson has made 13 triples and Ella Collier has hit 12 times. The trio are tied for second most on a team in the Big Ten behind Nebraska's four.
• Purdue will play nine games scheduled against teams in the preseason AP Top-25 rankings and is the only team in the nation that will face four teams in the top six of the preseason Top-25.
• The Boilermakers' four games against ranked teams over the first 10 games of the year is tied for the third most in the nation.
