The second round was suspended due to darkness with three groups still out on the course. However, the Boilermakers (+28) completed their 36 holes to find themselves in 12th place on the leaderboard.

Kiel made seven birdies throughout the first round, starting with one on the opening hole. With five birdies through her first eight holes, the senior moved to 4-under and sit atop the leaderboard. A bogey at the par-5 ninth completed a 33 (-3) on the front side before she birdies at No. 11 and No. 13 pushed Kiel to 5-under on her round. She made four pars and a lone bogey coming in to secure the 68, her team-best third round in the 60s this season.

During the afternoon, Kiel battled the difficult par 72 Westmoreland Country Club to post an even-par round and remain at 4-under, five shots back of USC's Jasmine Koo (-9). When play was halted on Monday evening, Kiel was one of only six golfers in the 81-player field that ended the day under par.
