WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue soccer team is back at Folk Field to conclude a two-game homestand against UIC on Sunday, August 25, at 1 p.m. ET.
Admission is free for all fans on Sunday afternoon and to every regular-season home game in 2024. It's the first Boilermaker Kids Club game of the season, as BKC members will receive exclusive opportunities at the match. Additionally, it's the first Pups at the Pitch game, and more information about bringing your dog to cheer on the Boilermakers can be found here.

Sunday will be Purdue's first day game of the young season, and its third contest at Folk Field. It marks the first time the Boilermakers will ever face UIC.
Purdue is 1-1-1 after beginning the weekend with a 1-1 draw to Loyola Chicago on Thursday night at home. The Old Gold and Black remain unbeaten in West Lafayette, at 1-0-1, with a 1-0 victory over Washington State on August 15 to begin the season.
Through three games, senior forward Gracie Dunaway and junior forward Kayla Budish each have one goal and Dunaway and senior defender Sydney Boudreau both have an assist. Dunaway paces the squad with three points. Purdue has 25 shots and 14 shots on goal, with Dunaway and Budish leading the team with five shots and Dunaway tops with four shots on target. Sophomore goalkeeper Emily Edwards has made nine saves in two starts.
Seven Boilermakers have made their Purdue debuts in the first three games of 2024, including freshmen Emilia Deppe and Stephanie Lathrop, whose appearances marked their first collegiate minutes.
SCOUTING UIC
UIC is 1-1-0 in 2024, with a season-opening 2-0 victory over Chicago State on August 15 and a 3-2 loss to Eastern Michigan on August 22, both at home. In Thursday evening's defeat to EMU, the Flames took a 2-0 lead with goals in the 14th and 48th minutes, but the Eagles answered with goals in the 50th, 63rd and 89th minutes.
Four different players have scored goals this season, and another three have assists. Sophia Jaime is one player with a goal, a game-winner, and she leads the team with nine shots, four on goal. Lauren Keiser has played both games in goal and has four saves and three goals allowed for a .571 save percentage and a 1.50 goals-against average.
The Flames have scored four goals with three assists on 30 shots, 17 on goal. They have allowed three goals on 14 shots, seven on target.
SERIES HISTORY VS. THE FLAMES
Purdue and UIC have never played before in soccer. The Boilermakers have played four of the 11 current members of the Missouri Valley Conference and sport a 16-1-0 record all-time against those squads. The most recent matchup was a 4-1 win over Valparaiso last season at Folk Field. In that game, Dunaway and now-sophomores Lauren Omholt and Zoe Cuneio were among Purdue's goal scorers, and Cuneio had the eventual winner in the 14th minute.
LAST TIME OUT: WEEKEND BEGINS WITH DRAW
The Boilermakers started the second week of the regular season with a 1-1 draw to Loyola Chicago on August 22. Budish scored her first goal of the campaign in the 17th minute to give the Boilermakers an early 1-0 lead, but the Ramblers found the equalizer in the 74th minute.
On a pleasant and cloudless evening at Folk Field, Purdue had six shots, five on goal, while Loyola registered eight shots, four on frame. The home side earned eight corner kicks to the visitors' one.
Budish had a game-high three shots and two shots on goal. Three other Boilermakers recorded a shot on target, including Dunaway, who assisted on Budish's goal. Fifth-year goalkeeper Claire Wyville made her Purdue debut and had three saves, one shy of tying her career high.
