Simeunovic Grabs First Ranked Win at No. 16 Michigan State

EAST LANSING, Mich.- Stefan Simeunovic got his first ranked win on Saturday in a 2-5 dual loss at No. 16 Michigan State.

Simeunovic took a set lead over No. 41 Ronald Hohmann with a 6-2 decision to start. After Hohmann knotted the match at one set all Simeunovic ran away with the win with a dominant 6-0 decision to win in three. 

Simeunovic has played four other ranked opponents this season, one match was unfinished. His last three ranked foes have been ranked in the Top 55.

Henrik Villanger picked up his second consecutive win at singles No. 3 with a victory over Sebastien Collard. Villanger also won his first set comfortably with a 6-1 decision before allowing a third set following a 5-7 second set. His 6-2 win in the third gave him a win and Purdue its second point of the dual.
