WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue women's basketball head coach announced her newest addition to the roster for the 2024-25 season, as the Boilermakers welcomed senior forward Reagan Bass to the program.
After starting her last three seasons at Akron, Bass will have one year of eligibility in West Lafayette.
An experienced and dominant post player, Bass has started 84 of her 85 career games, while averaging 15.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 blocks per game. She has earned three All-MAC honors, including a first team nod as a sophomore in 2022-23.
Bass has 1,301 points and 462 rebounds in her career with a 51.3% field goal clip. She has finished in double figures 67 times with 21 double-doubles.
The Strongsville, Ohio, native is a career 77.7% shooter at the line and is one of 10 players to make 135 or more free throws in each of the last two seasons.
Bass was one of the top players in the MAC during her junior campaign last season, nearly averaging a double-double with 16.4 points and 9.9 rebounds per night. She was third in the MAC in scoring, first in rebounding, first in made free throws and eighth in blocks.
She notched a league-best 14 double-doubles and finished as one of 15 players in the nation to average over 16 points and 9.5 rebounds per game last year. She shot 78.5% at the stripe (135-172).
Bass garnered First-Team All-MAC laurels following a career-high 17.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game with a 51.3% mark from the field as a sophomore in 2022-23. She finished the year third in the MAC in field goal percentage, fifth in scoring, seventh in blocks and rebounding. Bass posted six double-doubles and 27 games in double figures.
She finished 25th in the nation in made free throws (153) and 28th in attempts (196), leading the conference in both categories.
Bass made 25 starts as a freshman in 2021-22 and garnered an All-MAC honorable mention nod following a campaign with a career-best 56.4% field goal mark for 12 points per game.
Bass was a three-year letterwinner at Strongsville High School. She averaged a double-double in her career with 21 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks per game. She was tabbed second-team All-Ohio and first-team all-conference. Bass set the Mustangs' program record with 1,046 career points.
Bass chose Purdue over offers from Mississippi State and Iowa State.
