CHAMPAIGN, Ill.- Daniel Labrador won a three-set thriller in Purdue's 1-6 loss at No. 26 Illinois on Friday.
Labrador went down 1-6 in the first set and trailed in the second set before mounting one of the best reverse sweeps of the season. He was able to knot the match with a 6-3 win in the second set and pulled out the win in a 7-5 victory in the final set.
Friday's win is Labrador's first over an opponent from Illinois. Last year, his match with then-No. 115 Alex Petrov was cut short in the second set.
