WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue opens the spring break slate with a road match against UNLV tomorrow, March 11 at 4 p.m. ET.

The Boilermakers are riding high after closing the season's longest homestand on a three-match winning streak. A win in Las Vegas would be the team's longest winning streak since the 2021-22 season when the Boilers strung together four in a row.

Purdue's freshman class has leapt out to a fantastic start with Soham Purohit, Juan David Velasquez and Henrik Villanger owning winning records in singles action. The three are combined 14-8 this spring.

During last week's break, Purohit was honored as the Big Ten's Co-Player of the Week. It was the first time a Boilermaker earned the honor since Gergely Madarasz on March 21, 2017. He is the first freshman to earn the award this season.

SCOUTING UNLV
UNLV's matchup with Purdue is the start of the Rebel's longest homestand this year. After playing its last three on the road, the Rebels will host its next six at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The Rebels own a 4-2 record at home.

UNLV returns from a trip to Los Angeles having dropped its last three dual matches. It faced three consecutive Top 55 teams. The Rebels were outscored 20-1 by ITAs No. 25 UCLA, No. 41 Stanford and No. 54 Santa Clara.

This weekend's winner will take the lead in the all-time series. UNLV tied the series 1-1 in the most recent matchup when the Rebels won 4-3 on January 28, 2018 a neutral court in Texas.
