The No. 48 Purdue women's tennis team is set to host a double-match weekend, battling the No. 29 Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday, March 9 at noon and the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Sunday, March 10 at 11 a.m.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The No. 48 Purdue women's tennis team is set to host a double-match weekend, battling the No. 29 Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday, March 9 at noon and the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Sunday, March 10 at 11 a.m.
 
In the most recent match, the Boilermakers beat No. 68 Rutgers University Scarlet Knights 4-3. Playing at both No. 1 and No. 2, Carmen Gallardo Guevara has remained undefeated with a singles record of 9-0. Junior Tara Katarina Milic also claimed a win against Rutgers, earning a 7-2 in singles play. The Boilermakers have an overall record of 7-3 this spring season.
 
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Badgers have gone 8-2 this campaign. The upcoming match against Purdue will be their first conference match of the season. At No. 1, No. 69 Maria Sholokhova has earned a record of 7-3 in singles. In the Badgers' most recent match, the team swept DePaul 4-0. Last season, Wisconsin went 20-7, going 8-3 in conference play.
 
The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers currently hold a record of 7-5 this season. The Golden Gophers are set to take on Indiana on Saturday in their first Big Ten match of this campaign. In the most recent match, Minnesota fell to the University of Pennsylvania 4-3. Last season, Minnesota finished 5-12 after having to forfeit its final five matches due to multiple athlete injuries.
