CHICAGO and CLEMSON, S.C. – The Purdue track & field team will split up for the first time this season, with trips to Chicago for the Windy City Invitational and Clemson, South Carolina, for the Tiger Paw Invitational from February 9-10.

CHICAGO and CLEMSON, S.C. – The Purdue track & field team will split up for the first time this season, with trips to Chicago for the Windy City Invitational and Clemson, South Carolina, for the Tiger Paw Invitational from February 9-10.
 
The Boilermaker distance runners, jumpers, combined event athletes and throwers will compete in Chicago, while Purdue's sprinters and horizontal jumpers are headed to Clemson.
 
Fans unable to cheer the Boilermakers on in person can follow along with live results (Chicago | Clemson) and the meet schedules (Chicago | Clemson). ACCNX will broadcast the action live at Clemson (Friday | Saturday). The Windy City Invitational at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center at Gately Park begins on Friday, February 9, with field events at 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT, and running events at 2:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. CT. The opening day will finish at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET / 7:30 p.m. CT. On Saturday, February 10, Purdue's opening field event is at 12:30 p.m. ET / 11:30 a.m. CT, followed by the team's first running event at 1:40 p.m. ET / 12:40 p.m. CT. The 4x400 relay will conclude the meet at 5 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. CT.
 
At the Tiger Paw Invitational at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex, Purdue's first events on Friday, both on the track and the long jump, commence at noon ET. The day will wrap up at 5:45 p.m. Saturday starts at 12:45 p.m. on the track for the Boilermakers and at 1 p.m. with the triple jump. The weekend closes with the 4x400 at 3:20 p.m.
 
The Windy City Invitational will feature 17 teams, including host-Wisconsin and fellow Big Ten foes Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota and Rutgers. This weekend's trip is Purdue's second to Chicago's three-year-old track this season, along with the Midwest Invitational in early January. The Boilermakers also competed at the first two editions of the Windy City Invite, in 2022 and 2023.
 
Thirty-two NCAA teams are set to participate in the Tiger Paw Invitational. The field features host-Clemson and Big Ten opponents Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State. The Boilermakers are back at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex for the first time since the 2019 Tiger Paw meet.
 
LAST TIME OUT: THREE TOP-10 TIMES AT NOTRE DAME
Purdue registered three times that are in the top 10 in program history last weekend at the Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Indiana, from February 2-3. The Boilermakers earned nine top-three finishes and had 12 personal-records and five season-bests.
 
Sophomore Kiefer Bell moved up to No. 4 all-time in the mile and senior K'Ja Talley and sophomore Nolan Macklin entered the top-10 list at No. 10 in the 400-meter and 200m, respectively. Macklin won the 200m, junior Brett Otterbacher was victorious in the 400m and freshman Kade Stewart picked up a win in the high jump.

EARLIER THIS YEAR IN THE SECOND CITY
Eight individual wins and five top-10 times in school history opened the new year for Purdue at the Badgers Midwest Invitational on January 13 in Chicago. The Boilermakers totaled 21 top-three finishes at their second meet of the 2023-24 indoor season.
 
Freshmen Jasiah Rogers and Nia Wilson continued their strong starts to their careers with victories in the 60-meter final as they also moved up in the record books. Junior Zoe Sullivan and sophomore Taylor Herbert, making her Boilermaker debut, also ran top-10 times in the 60m hurdles and 60m, respectively. Otterbacher and juniors Praise Aniamaka added wins with marks that are among the best in the country this season.

NEXT UP: ONE LAST REGULAR-SEASON MEET
The indoor regular season concludes next weekend with a return trip to Notre Dame on February 17 for the Alex Wilson Invitational. The following weekend, the Boilermakers will head to the Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio, from February 23-24.
