MILLER RECOGNIZED AFTER RECORD-SETTING RUN
Days after he broke the Purdue and Big Ten record in the 200-meter on January 20, grad student Cameron Miller was named the Big Ten Men's Track Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.

Miller won the 200m in 20.40, the fastest time in the NCAA this season and third-fastest in the world. His time also broke the facility and meet records, along with the school and conference all-time marks.

In his first race as a Boilermaker, Miller bested a record almost 20 years old by 0.17 seconds, as Kenneth Baxter's mark of 20.57 seconds had stood since March 12, 2004. It is the first Purdue record to fall in any event since 2022.

In a tightly contested finish, Miller won by 0.02 seconds as both top-two finishers broke the facility and meet records. His time also is the fastest in the country this season.

Additionally, Miller helped the Boilermakers win the 4x400 in 3:09.44. Purdue's fastest time since 2019, it is ranked No. 17 in the country this season.

The weekly accolade is the third of Miller's career and first in the Big Ten. He was named SEC Runner of the Week in 2020 while at Florida and ACC Runner of the Week a year ago at Louisville.

LAST TIME OUT: BOILERS IN MICHIGAN
Including Miller's record-breaking 200m, the Boilermakers won four events at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational on January 20 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Junior Zoe Sullivan and freshman Jasiah Rogers each moved up to No. 6 in the record books in their events, as they have both ran a record-book time in each of their first three meets as Boilermakers. Sullivan is in the top-10 charts in the 60m hurdles and Rogers has his name on the 60m all-time list. Freshman Nia Wilson won the 60m and junior Grant Gogel was victorious in the pole vault along with Miller's 200m win and the men's 4x400.
