Purdue Looks for Big Ten Title in New Jersey
• The No. 36-ranked Purdue men's golf team heads East for the 2023 Big Ten Championships hosted by Galloway National on the outskirts of Atlantic City.
• The Boilermakers have won 12 Big Ten Championships previously, but will be looking for their first title since 1981. The 12 Big Ten titles are tied for the third most in league history (Ohio State - 23; Illinois - 19; Purdue and Michigan - 12).
• It marks the fourth time in the last six tournaments that the Big Ten Championships will take place on the East Coast (2017 - Baltimore; 2018 - Baltimore; 2019 - Philadelphia). Purdue has had success on the East Coast, finishing tied for fourth in 2017 and second in 2019.

Last Year at the Big Tens
• Last year's Big Ten Championships at the Pete Dye Course in French Lick, Indiana, was a wild one. The Boilermakers finished sixth, just nine shots behind champion Illinois. In all, seven other teams finished within 11 shots of the Illini.
• Andrew Farraye finished tied for ninth in last year's event, the only top-20 finish for a current Purdue player in the Big Ten Championships.

Boilermaker Team Notes
• As a team, the Boilermakers have posted even- or under-par rounds in nine of their 12 team rounds this spring, posting a cumulative score of 30-under par.
• Purdue's current team average 287.04 is second in school history, behind last year's average of 286.63.
• This year's squad is the second team in school history with three, 18-hole rounds of 274 or better (2021-22 team). It is also the first team with two, 54-hole tournament scores of 835 or better.
• Purdue performs best in the third round with a 283.25 stroke average (22-under par). The Boilermakers average 289.67 in the first round and 287.78 in the second round.
• Purdue has five regulars averaging under 73.00 strokes per round -- the first time in school history that has happened. Another player, Andrew Farraye, is just outside the mark at 73.15.
