NOTES
• Indiana State leads the all-time series with Purdue 11-10. The Sycamores won 10 of the first 11 meetings between 1975 and 1981. Has won nine of the last 10 matchups dating back to 1981. The two clubs have met just once this century, when Purdue downed Indiana State 77-54 in Mackey Arena last year.
• Voice of the Boilermakers Tim Newton will call his 1,000th game on the radio for Purdue Women's Basketball on Wednesday morning. In his 34th season, Newton provided the memorable line as time expired when Purdue won the national championship in 1999. Newton has called 25 NCAA Tournament appearances, 16 Big Ten Tournament and regular season titles. Purdue is 680-319 with Newton on the air.
• The Boilermakers are a perfect 5-0 in home games this season with an average margin of victory at 24.4 points per game. Five players have averaged double figures over those five games, as Purdue shot 48.3% and dished out 19.2 assists at home.
Mary Ashley Stevenson is one of two freshmen in the Big Ten (Natalie Potts, Nebraska) averaging five points and five rebounds per game. The rookie from New York City has grabbed five or more boards in each of the last five games.
Abbey Ellis saw her streak of 10 games in double figures ended last Sunday at Notre Dame. The Australian sits 19th in the Big Ten with 13.7 points per game, while ranking third in the league with a free throw clip of 87.2%.
Jeanae Terry is one of three players in the Big Ten this season with more than five rebounds and assists per game at 7.1 rebounds and 5.8 assists per night. Terry is the only player in the Big Ten to rank in the league's top 10 in rebounding and assists this season. The fifth-year senior is also one of five players nationally with more than seven rebounds and five assists per night.
• The Boilermakers have played solid defense this season, holding eight teams to 60 points or fewer, tying the Big Ten lead with Minnesota and ninth nationally. Since the season opener at No. 4 UCLA, Purdue has surrendered just 67 points per game.
• Madison Layden is shooting 46.9% from the field this year and 47.3% from distance. She is one of 11 players from major conferences to shoot over 45% in both categories this year.
• Purdue's free throw percentage continues to remain one of the best in the Big Ten at 78.6%, good for second in the league and 19th nationally.
• Purdue enters Wednesday with 496 all-time victories at Mackey Arena.
Jeanae Terry is the second Big Ten player to join the 800-rebound, 600-assist, 200-steal club, joining Iowa's Samantha Logic.
