WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Seven former Boilermakers hit the gridiron in week five of the 2023-24 NFL season.
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert continued his touchdown terror this season against the New York Giants. He ran for 65 yards on only 10 attempts with one rushing touchdown. Mostert also hauled in two receptions on two targets for 13 yards. Through this point of the season, Mostert is tied with San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey atop the NFL with seven rushing touchdowns.
The Arizona Cardinals have been using former Purdue wide receiver Rondale Moore in a multitude of ways this season. Moore caught three balls on five targets for 26 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. He also exploded for another big 41-yard run from the wildcat formation and finished with 50 rushing yards in the game. Moore now has 116 rushing yards on the season to go along with 81 receiving yards.
New England Patriots linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley was a force on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. Bentley racked up 11 total tackles, including five solo, one quarterback hit, one tackle-for-loss, and one sack for a loss of nine yards. Bentley led the Patriots in tackles for the second game through five weeks this season.
