GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The opening day of the Florida Relays has been postponed, as inclement weather in the Gainesville, Florida, area on Thursday will result in the Purdue track & field team opening competition on Friday, April 1 at James G. Pressly Stadium.
With the updated meet schedule, Purdue's first event on Friday remains at 2:30 p.m. ET, with the men's hammer throw, postponed from Thursday, and men's long jump invite. The team's first running event tomorrow, the women's 200 meters, is still at 5:50 p.m., and the squad's final event, the men's 400m hurdles, is at 7:20 p.m. On Saturday, the Boilermakers' opening event, the men's discus, is now at 9 a.m. ET, and the first running event, the women's 100m hurdles, is at noon. The meet concludes with the men's 4x400 relay at 6:10 p.m.
Purdue also is competing at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational in Cincinnati on April 2. At Gettler Stadium, field events are set for 11 a.m. ET and running events commence at 1:50 for the Old Gold and Black. The day's last event is at 6:05 p.m.
