TAMPA, Fla. – In its final weekend before Big Ten play, Purdue softball (14-13) will compete in the USF Invite on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Rounding out its non-conference opponents will be Lehigh, USF, Canisius and St. Thomas (Mn.).
Purdue will clash with Lehigh at 1:30 p.m. followed by at USF at 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursday. A double-header will follow Friday with a 4 p.m. matchup vs. Canisius will take place before a 6:15 p.m. ET showdown. Then, Purdue will round out its spring break trip at USF at 11:30 a.m. ET.
Both games at USF will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

Last Time Out: Purdue at The Spring Games
- The Boilermakers went 6-0 at The Spring Games and run-ruled twice
- Over the six games, Purdue out-scored opponents 37-5.
- Coming out of the weekend, senior shortstop Rachel Becker was recognized as Co-Big Ten Player of the Week.
- Pitcher/first baseman/designated player Alex Echazarreta registered a career-high 12 strikeouts vs. Lafayette College in a complete-game shutout (6 IN) before adding eight in just 4.2 innings of work vs. Western Michigan, Echazarreta's next appearance in the circle.
- Freshman Tyrina Jones made her collegiate appearance over the weekend after injury has kept her from the field. In her collegiate debut, the first baseman/designated player had a hand in a run in four of the five appearances made, including a run in the first three consecutive outings (vs. Lafayette College, Toled and Western Michigan).
- Pitcher Alexa Pinarski saw a fair share of time in the circle and notched her first two victories as a Boilermaker, with her first coming vs. Toledo (3/11).
- The Boilers will play host USF twice, the only team that will face an opponent more than once.
- USF enters the weekend 22-4, which includes a 2-2 record vs. programs ranked or receiving votes. Wins include vs. 7-0 victory vs. RV Notre Dame and a 7-1 win at No. 7 Oklahoma State, both coming during the opening weekend.
- The Boilermakers are likely to face USF's pitcher, Georgina Corrick, who leads the nation with a .06 ERA after tossing 111 innings.
- Lehigh enters the weekend with a 4-9 record, led by #10 Rory Dudley and #9 Carley Barjaktarovich with six runs apiece and pitchers #20 Gabriella Nori and #11 Katelyn Young, who each own a 2-4 record.
- St. Thomas (Mn.) owns a 3-16 record, with #20 Brooke Ellestad leading the offensive effort with a .328 batting average, 11 runs and 19 hits. Meanwhile, pitcher #9 Christina Crawford has tossed a team-leading 35.1 innings, with a 1-3 record and 42 strikeouts on the season.
- Canisius enters the weekend with an 8-5 record, including 4-1 in the last weekend played. The program is led by #5 Christie McGee-Ross who owns a .465 batting average and pitcher #18 Emily Nicosia, who is undefeated at 3-0.
