Freshman middle blocker Raven Colvin is set to attend the invitation-only Women's National Team Open Program, formerly known as Open Tryout, which will take place February 25-27.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Freshman middle blocker Raven Colvin is set to attend the invitation-only Women's National Team Open Program, formerly known as Open Tryout, which will take place February 25-27. The three-day event is part of the selection process for the Women's National Team, their NCAA Elite Athlete List and the 2022 Collegiate National Team and is open to current and recently graduated college-age athletes.

Colvin was selected to the Big Ten All-Freshmen team, where she posted 2.41 points per set during the regular season, including 1.23 blocks per set and a .331 attack efficiency. The middle blocker went errorless in two matches this season, including a perfect 5-0-5 vs. Jacksonville St. and a .900 attack % (9-0-10) in the following match vs. Purdue Fort Wayne. Just the third freshman since 2009 to post double-digit blocks in a match, Colvin notched 11 total blocks (1-10) in the victory vs. No. 3 Wisconsin on Halloween.

The Indianapolis native concluded the season with a career-best 11 kills in the comeback victory over BYU to advance to the Regional Finals, where she averaged a .444 hitting %.

The Open Program will take place at the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
