WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The NCAA announced Tuesday that for the 10th straight year all 18 Purdue teams are above the 930 Academic Progress Rate (APR) threshold.
All 18 sport programs recorded at least a rate of 950 with six sports registering a perfect 1,000 score. Six more posted scores of 980 or better.
The APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I athletic departments.
Twelve squads maintained or improved their multi-year rate from a year ago: football (970 vs. 954), men's basketball (984 vs. 975), men's cross country (1000 vs. 958), men's golf (1000 vs. 1000), men's swimming and diving (1000 vs. 994), men's tennis (977 vs. 968), softball (988 vs. 969), women's basketball (991 vs. 973), women's cross country (1000 vs. 1000), women's tennis (1000 vs. 992), women's track & field (969 vs. 964) and volleyball (1000 vs. 1000).
Six Purdue teams had perfect 1,000 multi-year scores: men's cross country, men's golf, men's swimming and diving, women's cross country, women's tennis and volleyball.
In addition, 13 programs posted scores of 1,000 for the current year: men's basketball, men's cross country, men's swimming and diving, men's tennis, wrestling, men's golf, women's basketball, women's golf, soccer, women's tennis, women's cross country, women's swimming and diving and volleyball.

Volleyball earned its 16th consecutive (every year of the program) score of 1,000, while men's golf scored its third straight year of 1,000. Women's cross country picked up its second straight year of 1,000, while men's cross country (first time since 2005), women's tennis (fourth time overall, first time since 2016) and men's swimming and diving (first time) also posted scores of 1,000.
The APR measures the eligibility, retention and graduation of student-athletes. The most-recent APR scores are multi-year rates - or a rolling four-year average - based on the scores from the 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2020-21 academic years.
Purdue student-athletes regularly perform equal to or better than the student body.
