WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – After having one of its finest regular seasons in school history, the No. 25 Purdue men's golf team was honored for its success, placing three players on the All-Big Ten teams the league office announced this afternoon.

Herman Sekne (unanimous) and Joe Weiler were named to the first team, while Cole Bradley earned second-team accolades.

It marks the first time since 1981 that Purdue has had three players earn All-Big Ten honors and the first time since 2000 (Lee Williamson, Chris Mayson) that the Boilermakers had two golfers earn first-team accolades.

Sekne, a sophomore from Oslo, Norway, has had one of the top-statistical seasons in Purdue history. He currently ranks second (behind Williamson) in stroke average (70.81) and his nine rounds in the 60s are the fourth most in school history. He won back-to-back events at the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate and Purdue Fall Invitational and was selected as the Big Ten Golfer of the Week four times – the second most honors in Big Ten history. Sekne has had three tournaments this year of 205 or lower, the most in school history, and has had five top-10 finishes in nine events.

Sekne is currently ranked 46th in the country by Golfstat and narrowly missed a spot on the International Team for the prestigious Palmer Cup.

Weiler, a senior from Bloomington, Indiana, is putting the finishing touches on an outstanding career, earning his third All-Big Ten honor and second first-team accolade (2020, 2022). He becomes just the fourth player in school history to be named first-team All-Big Ten twice and the first since 2007 (Pariya Junhasavasdikul, Lee Williamson and Lenny Hartlage).

Weiler is averaging 71.63 strokes per round this season, good for fourth in school history. He leads the team with seven top-20 finishes and has posted 15 rounds of even-par or better with seven rounds in the 60s. For his career, he is fourth all-time in stroke average (73.05) and ninth in top-10 finishes (45).

Bradley, a senior from West Lafayette, Indiana, earns his second straight second-team citation after posting a 71.85 stroke average with 14 rounds of par or better and seven rounds in the 60s. Bradley is playing his best golf of the season entering Regionals, posting three straight top-20 finishes, including a runner-up showing at the Boilermaker Invitational. Last year's NCAA Regional medalist, Bradley has played on the counting team in every tournament since his arrival and next week's regionals will mark his 149th career round, good for second in school history.

Purdue will find out its NCAA Regional destination this afternoon with the NCAA Golf selection show on the Golf Channel at 4 p.m. ET.
