WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue softball team (19-21, 2-6 Big Ten) is slated for a three-game series at No. 6 Northwestern's (27-6, 5-1 Big Ten) Sharon J. Drysdale Field this weekend.
The series, streamed on B1G+, is set for a 5 p.m. ET game Friday, a 2 p.m. ET start Saturday, and will close out the series on Easter Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
The Boilermakers, facing the highest-ranked opponent of the season, will look for its second top-25 victory of the year and the program's first victory over a top-6 opponent since 2014.

PURDUE BOILERMAKERS AT A GLANCE
- The program will be looking its first win over a top-6 team since taking down No. 4 Michigan, 3-2 on April 23, 2014.
- The Boilermaker offense is led by shortstop Rachel Becker, right fielder/utility Rylee Platusic and pitcher/designated player Alex Echazarreta. As a team, Purdue averages a .268 batting average.
- Becker leads Purdue in multiple categories, including batting average (.385), runs (31), hits (42) and on-base % (.489). Meanwhile, Echazarreta takes the edge in RBI (28) and also leads the team with a .670 slugging % and seven home runs.
- The Boilermakers will be looking for its first win in Evanston since 2001 and its second victory over a ranked opponent this season.
NORTHWESTERN AT A GLANCE
- Four Wildcats own batting averages above .340: Jordyn Rudd (.365), Nikki Cuchran (.363), Skyler Shellmyer (.358) and Rachel Lewis (.343).
- Northwestern's ace Danielle Williams ranks second in the Big Ten and 26th in the nation with a 1.39 ERA.
- Lewis and Shellmyer both rank among the top 10 in the league in runs with 38 and 34, respectively. Meanwhile, Rudd checks in at No. 4 with 36 RBI.
- Northwestern has played its fair share of ranked opponents and own a 8-3 record vs. top-25 teams, including wins vs. No. 3 UCLA 6-4 (8) and 1-0 shutouts vs. No. 9 Oregon and No. 5 Washington. Meanwhile, its one Big Ten loss came vs. No. 23 Michigan, 4-8.
