[6 / 6] Purdue (17-3, 6-3) vs. [16 / 16] Ohio State (13-4, 6-2)
Sunday, Jan. 30 | Noon ET | Mackey Arena (SOLD OUT)
CBS (Spero Dedes, Bill Raftery)

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The No. 6-ranked Purdue Boilermakers return to Mackey Arena, looking to continue their surge by hosting one of the league favorites in No. 16-ranked Ohio State on Sunday on CBS. The Boilermakers are 6-3 in the Big Ten and a win over the 6-2 Buckeyes would move Purdue to within one game, or depending on other games into a share of the top spot, of the league leaders at the halfway point of league play.

Purdue enters with a 17-3 mark, while Ohio State is 13-4. Ohio State has won nine of its last 11 games with wins over Duke and Wisconsin.

The contest will be televised on CBS with Spero Dedes and  Bill Raftery on the call. On the radio waves, Rob Blackman and Bobby Riddell will be courtside on the 22-station Purdue Radio Network and online on the Varsity Sports Network (app). Live stats will be provided on StatBroadcast.com and updates will be provided on Purdue's official Twitter account (@BoilerBall).

THE NOTES TO KNOW
1) A win would give Matt Painter and Purdue his third 21-game start of 18-3 or better (2017-18, 2009-10). It would be Purdue's best start since starting 23-2 during the 2017-18 season.
2) With the win over Iowa, Matt Painter moved past Ward Lambert for second place on the Purdue career victories list, and into fifth on the Big Ten list with 372 victories. Gene Keady is third on the Big Ten list (512), while Lou Henson (421) is fourth.
3) Since Feb. 1, of last season, Purdue is the only team nationally without a double-digit loss. Purdue's six losses since Feb. 1, of last year have come by 1, 3, 9 (ot), 9 (ot), 2, 5 and 3 points.
4) Purdue has scored 90 or more points in nine games this season, the second most in the country (South Dakota State - 10).
5) Purdue leads the country in offensive efficiency (124.6) and has been held under 1.00 points / possession just once (Indiana - 0.98).
6) Purdue has trailed by double-digits in just three games this year (Villanova, North Carolina State, Indiana) and won two of them.
7) Purdue has won six of its last nine games on CBS, including two straight in its last appearances on the network (both over Michigan State).
8) Purdue will wear black jerseys Sunday with "volt" accents for its annual "Hammer Down Cancer" game. The jerseys and shooting shirts will then be auctioned with proceeds going to the Purdue Center for Cancer Research.
9) Zach Edey, Jaden Ivey and Trevion Williams were named to the Wooden Award midseason watch list. Purdue was the only school with three players named (Duke, Gonzaga, UCLA had two).

THE SERIES
• Sunday's game with Ohio State marks the 183rd meeting between the two schools, and there is some discrepancy in the series standings, mostly coming from vacated wins.
• Ohio State is "technically" the only Big Ten school to own a winning record against Purdue with a 92-90 series advantage (OSU has Purdue leading 90-86).
• After OSU won six in a row from 2012 to 14, Purdue has won seven of the last 11 meetings with the Buckeyes.
• During the 32 meetings of the Painter era, one team has been ranked in 27 of the games and both teams have been ranked in six of them. All six games of those games have featured at least one team ranked in the top nine.
