DENTON, Texas - The Purdue Women's Golf team will begin its 2021-22 season amongst a talented field with play beginning Monday morning at the Sam Golden Invitational, hosted by North Texas at Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch outside of Dallas, Texas.

The event features 54 holes on a par 72, 6,288-yard course across two days, both Monday, Sept. 13, and Tuesday, Sept. 14. Head coach Devon Brouse's squad will tee it up for 36 holes today and the final 18 tomorrow.

Purdue's traveling group is led by sophomore Ashley Kozlowski (Littleton, Colorado), who appeared in four events last season and averaged 76.0 strokes per round.

Senior Danielle du Toit (Pretoria, South Africa) averaged 74.2 strokes across five events as a junior in the spring of 2021. She fills the second slot on Brouse's lineup card.

The third Boilermaker for the Sam Golden Invitational is Jocelyn Bruch, an Indiana native hailing from Carmel. The redshirt freshman was outstanding during her prep career, including individual wins at the 2019 Girls-Indiana Jr. PGA Championship and the 2018 IHSSA State Championship.

Rounding out the Purdue five-some are senior Inez Wanamarta (Surabaya, Indonesia) and junior Kan Bunnabodee (Chonburi, Thailand). Wanamarta appeared in five events last season for the Boilermakers and shot par or better five teams in 15 rounds. Anchoring for Purdue is Bunnabodee, who shot par or better six times as a sophomore during the spring 2021 season.

The 15-program invitational features six teams that are ranked or at least receiving votes in the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Preseason Poll. No. 4 Oklahoma State headlines the tournament, with Houston, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Tulsa currently receiving votes.
