WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. –Purdue volleyball's hunt to return to the NCAA Regional Finals will feature four non-conference tournaments, including five home contests. Purdue's first match will be Friday, August 27 versus Loyola Marymount at 6 p.m. ET.

In total, the Boilermakers will compete in nine non-conference outings between tournaments in West Lafayette, at UNLV and at Xavier. Over half of the matches—five—will be played in the friendly confines of Holloway Gymnasium, which will be back at full capacity this fall.

"Our veteran team will be challenged each time we step on the floor with this non-conference slate," said Art and Connie Euler women's volleyball head coach Dave Shondell. "Although I believe the Boilermaker team can be special, every opponent on our schedule feels the same way about their squad. This docket will prepare us well for Big Ten play and provide our resume with a strong RPI number, providing we compete hard and play with unique cohesion."

Purdue's opponents are LMU, Kansas, No. 18 Washington State, UNLV, No. 11 Louisville, Xavier/Lipscomb, Purdue Fort Wayne, Jacksonville State and Tennessee.

The loaded schedule includes three spring 2021 NCAA Tournament teams in Louisville, UNLV and Washington State. Louisville advanced to the Regional Semifinals while Washington State and UNLV advanced to Second Round. Purdue will face the trio in consecutive fashion, making it one of the toughest stretches in the lineup. The Boilermakers will begin with the Cougars and Rebels in Las Vegas on Sept. 2nd and 3rd, followed by Louisville the following week on Sept. 10 in Cincinnati.

The non-conference season will lead up to the Big Ten league matches, which will begin at home versus Ohio State on September 24. The complete Big Ten slate was announced in June.

Purdue closed out the Spring 2021 season with its highest final AVCA ranking in program history at No. 7. The Boilermakers return its entire roster, which holds a program-record four AVCA All-Americans, and adds four newcomers in Emily Rastovski, Sydney Yim, Under Armour All-American Raven Colvin and Under Armour All-American Ali Honung. Yim and Hornung were named Gatorade State Volleyball Player of the Year for their respective states of Connecticut and Indiana.

The Boilermakers concluded their season with an NCAA Regional Finals appearance against the eventual national champions, Kentucky. The Boilermakers had a record-setting postseason awards resume after receiving program-bests with four All-America nods (first team Grace Cleveland, third team Caitlyn Newton and honorable mentions Hayley Bush and Jena Otec), five All-Region honorees and five Big Ten postseason awards, including the program's first Defensive Player of the Year distinction in Otec.

Dates and times of matches are subject to change, pending television selections.
