WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Big Ten released the 2021 Purdue softball schedule, which is set to feature 44 games over ten weeks with opening day slated for February 26.
The Boilermakers will play a Big Ten-exclusive schedule, with the first two weekends of action (Feb. 26-28 and March 11-14) taking place in Leesburg, Florida in association with The Spring Games. The 2021 regular season is scheduled through May 16, with no Big Ten postseason tournament.
Following the Big Ten bubble in Florida, the Boilermakers will finish the final eight weeks of the season split between four home weekends and four on the road. Each weekend will have a four-game series spanning Friday through Sunday.
Purdue's four home opponents will be Iowa (March 26-28), Indiana (April 9-11), Ohio State (April 30-May 2) and Northwestern (May 7-9).
Game times and television selections will be announced at a later date. In an interest of maintaining a safe environment for all, attendance will be limited to team family members only. Tickets will not be on sale for the general public.
Week One Opponents (Florida): Michigan (Feb. 26), Penn State (Feb. 27), Rutgers (Feb. 28)
Week Two Opponents (Florida): Maryland (March 11-12) and Nebraska (March 13-14)
