A LOOK BACK AT THE 2021 INDOOR TRACK & FIELD SEASON
During a Big Ten-only 2021 indoor track & field season, five Boilermakers qualified for the NCAA Championships, while the men were sixth and the women were 10th at the Big Ten Championships. Fifteen top-10 marks in school history were recorded in 13 different events, including two school records.

Purdue won nine Big Ten medals, as Alexis Zatta won gold in the high jump and Camille Christopher (200m), Isaiah Martin (heptathlon) and Waseem Williams (60m) claimed silver. Tamar Greene (triple jump) and three members of the women's 4x400 relay also are back in 2021-22 after earning bronze medals a year ago.

At the NCAA Championships, Greene was seventh in the triple jump to earn first team All-America accolades, Martin was 10th in the heptathlon and Zatta was 15th in the high jump to earn second team All-America distinction.

LAST TIME AT THE FRED WILT OPEN & LAMBERT FIELDHOUSE
Purdue is back competing at Lambert Fieldhouse, and hosting the Fred Wilt Open, for the first time since the 2019-20 season.

At the 2019 Fred Wilt Open, on December 7, Purdue won 10 events, with seven also coming with a second-place finish. Then-freshman Kerris Roberts won the 60-meter dash in 7.53, the seventh-fastest time in program history at the time, in her first collegiate race, to highlight the day.

A month later, the Boilermakers hosted the Gene Edmonds Memorial Invitational from Jan. 10-11, which proved to be the team's last home meet before Saturday. Purdue combined to set or tie three top-10 marks in program history and win 17 events.
