WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue soccer team returns home for its Big Ten home opener against Iowa on Sunday, September 26, at 1 p.m. ET at Folk Field.
Admission is free for all fans to every regular-season home match in 2021. Sunday is the annual Reunion Weekend, and soccer alumnae will be recognized on the field at halftime.
University, local and state health guidelines will be followed on game day. Updates will be provided by Purdue Athletics, if necessary. A clear bag policy will be implemented for all events in Purdue Athletics facilities this year, and information can be found at PurdueSports.com/ClearBag.

The Boilermakers own a 7-1-2 record, 2-0 in the Big Ten, and are off to their best start to a season since 2007. Purdue has won five in a row and seven of its last eight matches, and the team is 2-0 in Big Ten play with a pair of road wins for the first time since 2017.
Seventeen players have earned at least a point and 15 have at least one assist, both the most in the Big Ten. Nine Boilermakers have scored a goal, tied for fourth-most in the conference. Purdue boasts an 20-8 advantage in goal differential, including 14-4 in the second half.

Senior forward Sarah Griffith is second in the Big Ten in goals (6), shots (40), shots on goal (18), and sixth in points (13).
Sophomore midfielder Emily Mathews is second on the team with four goals and 10 points, while freshman forward Gracie Dunaway has a squad-best four assists and is third with six points. Bova has played every minute in goal and has allowed seven goals. She has seven wins with two shutouts.

Two second-half goals propelled Purdue to a fifth consecutive win with a 2-1 victory at Illinois on Thursday night. Griffith scored the game's first goal, in the 55th minute, and Purdue extended its lead to 2-0 two minutes later on a Fighting Illini own goal. Illinois scored its lone goal in the 83rd minute off a rebound on a penalty kick.
Illinois had a 19-13 advantage in shots, though Purdue held a 9-8 edge in shots on goal. Griffith had a match-high-tying seven shots and four shots on goal, while two Boilermakers had two shots, both on goal. Bova made a career-high-tying seven saves and her U of I counterpart stopped eight shots.
