WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Big Ten Conference has announced that a trio of Purdue men's golfers have been named to the Big Ten Golfers to Watch list, in advance of the Boilermakers' 2021-22 campaign starting Sunday.

Seniors Cole Bradley and Joe Weiler and sophomore Herman Sekne were named to the list, all after having strong seasons a year ago as well as productive offseasons.

Bradley, a West Lafayette native, was named a GCAA Honorable Mention All-American last season and a second-team All-Big Ten selection. Bradley won the NCAA Noblesville Regional individual title and placed 39th at the NCAA Championships in May – the highest finish for a Purdue golfer since 2004. Bradley has played in 40 events and played 119 career rounds, and will threaten the school record for most events and rounds played. He currently ranks seventh on the school's career strokes average list (73.51).

Weiler also receives the honor after being a two-time All-Big Ten and PING All-Midwest Region selection. He enters his senior year with a 73.42 career stroke average, including a 72.11 average over the last two seasons.  He posted four top-10 finishes, including a runner-up finish at the Big Ten Championships last May – the best finish for a Purdue golfer since 2007. He recently wrapped up an outstanding summer, winning the Northern Amateur and competing in the U.S. Amateur.

Sekne, who hails from Oslo, Norway, had a strong freshman season in the spring of 2021, posting a 74.10 stroke average, the fifth-best scoring average for a freshman in school history. He posted a top-five finish at the Kiawah Invitational and a top-15 showing at the loaded Calusa Cup. He finished 34th at the Big Ten Championships and had a strong summer as well, posting three top-10 finishes, including sixth at the Golfweek Myrtle Beach Amateur.

Purdue opens the season this weekend at the Erin Hills Intercollegiate, beginning Sunday in Hartford, WIs.
