Admission is free for all fans at all regular-season home matches in 2021. Free pizza will be available for the first 100 students.

The Boilermakers are 0-0-2 on the season after a pair of 1-1 draws, to Kentucky in front of a record-breaking home crowd to open the season on August 19, and at No. 18 Vanderbilt on August 22. The Bulldogs are 2-0-0 following a 4-0 home win over Eastern Washington and a 3-1 victory at Georgia.
With the two 110-minute ties, Purdue is 7-3-2 under seventh-year coach Drew Roff in opening-weekend matches. The Boilermakers boast a 5-1-1 record in season-openers and a 6-0-1 mark in home-opening contests.

On the road and playing a top-25 opponent for the first time this season, Purdue tied No. 18 Vanderbilt, 1-1 on August 22. On a hot and humid afternoon in Nashville, the Boilermakers took a 1-0 lead on a goal by senior midfielder Ally Mussallem in the 34th minute, but the Commodores tied the match in the final minute of regulation to force overtime. As both teams played an overtime match for the second time in the season's first two games, neither side could find the golden goal.
Vanderbilt had a 19-9 advantage in shots and a 6-4 edge in shots on goal. The home side had eight corner kicks to Purdue's seven, and the Boilermakers committed three fouls and the Commodores had five. Senior forward Sarah Griffith had a game-high-tying four shots and two shots on goal. Five other Boilermakers had a shot in the contest. Senior goalkeeper Marisa Bova made five saves and Vandy's keeper had three stops. Senior midfielder Aly Mielke and redshirt sophomore midfielder Hannah Lapeire earned assists on Mussallem's goal.

The program attendance record was broken August 19, as 2,125 fans made their return to a Purdue sports event to see the Boilermakers tie Kentucky, 1-1. Senior forward Sarah Griffith scored the match-tying goal at 47:34, and it was another highlight-reel score that would be ranked No. 5 on ESPN Sports Center's Top-10 Plays later in the evening.
Purdue had an 18-14 advantage in shots, and both teams had seven shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper Marisa Bova and her UK counterpart each made six saves. Griffith led all players with seven shots and had a game-high-tying two shots on goal. The visitor's goal came in the 30th minute.

For the second consecutive match, the Boilermakers play an opponent for the first time in program history. Purdue is 2-2-0 all-time against West Coast Conference teams following a 2-1 loss to Loyola Marymount at home in 2017. The signature win over a WCC team came in 2007, when the Boilermakers upended No. 1-ranked Portland, 1-0, in Seattle.

Gonzaga comes to West Lafayette with a 2-0-0 record and a 1-0-0 mark away from home. The Bulldogs began the year with a 4-0 win against Eastern Washington on August 19. The victory was highlighted by a three-goal first half, all in the opening 15 minutes. Three days later, Gonzaga traveled to Georgia and recorded a 3-1 win. Goals in the 17th, 51st and 57th minute were the difference.
Following the weekend, Kate Doyle was named the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week. She scored in both of Gonzaga's matches last week, including the game-winner at Georgia, and added an assist vs. EWU.
