SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Cole Bradley put an end to an outstanding month of May by placing tied for 39th at the NCAA National Championships that concluded on Memorial Day at the Grayhawk Golf Club's Raptor Course.
Bradley finished the 72-hole event at 9-over par 289 (66-73-75-75), concluding today with a 5-over par 75. Clemson's Turk Pettit won the individual title at 7-under par 273.
Bradley concluded his season by making waves in the month of May. He won the NCAA Noblesville Regional at 10-under par 206 to advance to the National Championships. He then made headlines in Scottsdale taking the 18-hole lead with a 4-under par 66, the lowest round for a Purdue golfer in NCAA Championships history and the fourth-lowest round at this year's NCAA Championships.
Despite falling off the final three rounds, Bradley became the first Purdue golfer to play in the final round since Shiv Kapur in 2004. His T-39 finish was the sixth-best finish for a Purdue golfer at the national championships since 1980.
Seniors Cole Bradley and Joe Weiler have both opted to return for a CoVid senior season in 2021-22 and head coach Rob Bradley welcomes back all five players that competed at this year's Big Ten Championships, in addition to welcoming talented freshmen Kent Hsaio, Andrew White and Kentaro Nanayama.
