Bunnabodee Remains in Contention at Big Ten Championship

MAINEVILLE, Ohio – Sophomore Kan Bunnabodee remains within striking distance of the Big Ten Championship's individual title after the second round Saturday. She posted a 1-under par 71 for a 36-hole tally of 3-under 141 (70+71) and is tied for third on the leaderboard, one stroke off championship leader Laura Van Respaille of Maryland.

MAINEVILLE, Ohio – Sophomore Kan Bunnabodee remains within striking distance of the Big Ten Championship's individual title after the second round Saturday. She posted a 1-under par 71 for a 36-hole tally of 3-under 141 (70+71) and is tied for third on the leaderboard, two strokes off championship leader Laura Van Respaille of Maryland.
 
The Boilermakers combined to improve their team score from the first round by four strokes and will enter Sunday's final round sixth in the standings with a two-round score of 10-over 586 (295+291).
 
Bunnabodee rallied after opening the front nine Saturday at 2-over 38 with a 3-under 33 in the second nine to remain in contention. She birdied the first three holes of the final nine, scoring par on the remaining six.  
 
Junior Danielle du Toit carded an impressive second round with a 1-under 71. She eagled the par-five sixth hole and had three birdies in the round. She is tied for 46th in the individual standings with a 36-hole score of 7-over 151.
 
Sophomore Daniela Ballesteros is tied for 35th on the player leaderboard and will enter Sunday's finale 5-over with a two-round score of 149 (72+77).
 
Freshman Ashley Kozlowski is tied for 38th after two rounds with back-to-back 75s on the weekend.
 
Michigan State and Maryland are tied for the team  lead with a pair of 36-hole scores of 9-under 567.
